As mentioned in our first Thank You, Blog World post, we’re starting each month by thanking other bloggers that have inspired us.
I’m pretty new to the blog world. In the past couple years, I’ve come across a few blogs while searching for recipes, but I didn’t really start following any until Lindsey suggested making one of our own. Excited at the prospect of having a project with my sister and a reason to cook more, I started exploring. I am constantly finding new, exciting things.
Thank You, Blog World, for giving me…
…Lessons in Wine Education
I’ve always wanted to be one of those people that can share valid tasting notes about wine. Unfortunately, I’m not there yet. I know when I like something, though my likes and dislikes don’t always make sense. I’ve enjoyed reading these two blogs to learn a bit more about wine. The writers are passionate and well informed.

…New Craft Ideas
These spoons are so fun! I can’t wait to make some and add a splash of color to my kitchen. Photos will follow.
I love DIY gifts. I recently saw a shower gift that was the ingredients for cookie dough layered in a jar. It looked so cute! When I came across this list of other things to do in a jar, some food related, some not, I was really psyched!
20 Brilliant Things to Make in a Jar

…Things to do with Avocado
I love avocado! Everyone knows avocado as the key ingredient in guacamole, but it has many other uses. Here are some of the most enticing recipes I’ve come across recently:
Grapefruit and Avocado Salad with Shrimp
Taa Taa for Now!
I am leaving tonight to join my family on vacation. We haven’t all been together since Lindsey’s wedding, so we’re going to take a little break from the blog to enjoy some good, old fashioned family time. We’ll be back next week!

Happy 4th of July! Thanks for reading.
